 The last trip

 we went in 2022 ❤️

It is a family trip. Together with our relatives and brothers and sisters, we give alms to Nimalawa Aranya Senasana Asapu every two years. We went to Kataragama every two years for that.Due to the covid epidemic season, we participated in that donation again in December last year after four years.It was a trip of three days. 

All the friends and brothers and sisters of the family gathered together, so it was a wonderful three days.

 

 On December 16th, we left home only at 5 am. We had breakfast at Sankhapala temple.It was around three in the evening,by the time we reached Senasanaya .We kept the luggage from the rooms where we stayed that night.Beyond the Senasana, there is a large stone plateau.There is a temple on top of it.We climbed there. From there, the surrounding scenery looks very beautiful. A soothing breeze always blows there.After returning to the accommodation, we attended the Buddha Pooja at night.

The next day was the alms giving.

We all woke up in the morning and helped prepare the alms.

After the Buddha Pooja at around 8 in the morning, Sanghas left the huts and came to the Senasana to receive alms at around 9 o'clock . We worshiped them from both sides of the road and chanted Supatipanno stanza.After the offering alms, there was a sermon.Then the Sanghas went back to their chambers.

                                                                           

After cleaning the alms hall and kitchen, we also visited the stalls.The environment was very quiet, peaceful and beautiful there.There were peacocks, pigs, deer and birds on both sides of the road.Flowers were planted.After visiting them, we came back to the accommodation, had lunch, packed our things and left for Kataragama.

 

On the night of the second day, we stayed at a lodge near the Kataragama Temple .Dressed in white clothes, we worshiped at Kataragama Kiri Vehera at night.Many people participated in Kawadi dance near the Kataragama Dewalaya. We kept the pooja and came to the accommodation.

 

 

The day after we visited Sellakatharagama ,Kirinda & Lakshmi dewalaya.On the first day we bathed in the Yodhakandiya lake and on the second day in the Tissa lake.We bought some ornaments and food items.Then we left to home .We enjoyed singing songs and dancing in the bus.

It was the best trip we had at the end of the year 2022. 💕
